Have you wanted to try healthier foods on the way to living a healthier lifestyle, but don’t know where to start?
Join Neida Suto for a free demonstration and sampling of healthy plant-based foods on Tuesday, October 29 at the Harris Memorial Library’s Harris House from 4pm-6pm!
The program will touch on lifestyle-related diseases and how to achieve healthy living practices, being a combination of health seminar plus cooking class designed to motivate and educate on the power of healing by natural laws of health. Neida will emphasize the importance of a wholesome plant-based diet and nutrition to achieve prevention, treatment and reversal of lifestyle diseases. She will also demonstrate recipes to show that plant-based foods are delicious and easy to prepare. And, at the end of the session, there will be food samples for the attendees.
There will also be related books available to look at and consider purchasing, and attendees will receive a sample of recipes to take and try at home!
We are so excited about tomorrow night’s visit by the NY Shadow Chasers! They’ll do a brief lecture, starting at 6pm, about the paranormal and the scientific equipment they use to document and sometimes debunk situations, as well as their personal experiences investigating the paranormal. Then, if you’ve got your tickets for the investigation, we’ll break into groups and explore the space ourselves! It promises to be a wonderful and unique event–perfect for the Halloween season! Tickets for the lecture are for a donation of $5 each and for the investigation the donation is an additional $15. Tickets must be gotten in advance so we don’t outdo our capacity.
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to investigate the paranormal? With books, television shows, movies and the like covering paranormal stories there’s obviously a lot of curiosity.
Come get your questions answered as the New York Shadow Chasers team talks about how they do what they do and teach the basics (and show off some of their cool technology)! This is one of our fall fundraisers. You MUST get your tickets in advance for BOTH the lecture (starting at $6) AND the investigation IF you want to be part of the investigation. Lecture tickets are for a donation of $5, and investigation tickets are for a donation of $15. Tickets are limited and available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
The investigation will start shortly after the lecture ends, attendees will be seated in different spots in the historic Harris House and the library, lights will be turned off, observations will be made and recorded, and then, approximately 30 minutes into the investigation, lights will come on and people will shift to a new location, and observe and record another 30 minutes. We’ll do a final chat about what we found (or didn’t) and post our results.
This fundraiser will be on October the 25th with the lecture starting at 6pm. You MUST get tickets in advance as they will be very limited.
