August 21st Food, Fun, and a Double-Feature of Super Creatures!

We’re doing double-features throughout summer on Saturday nights and August 21st will be our last one! And we’re saving the best for last!

We’ll wrap up the Summer Reading Program by handing out certificates and prizes.

We’ll play games…

We’ll do some dragon- and dinosaur-related activities…

We’ll eat some great food (hot dogs, chips, and ice cream) and…

We’ll watch two cool dragon movies:

RAYA AND THE LAST DRAGON

and

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON

(based on the bestselling book series).

And YOU are invited, as a library patron, to get your free tickets to free food, free fun, and free movies! Come celebrate summer at your little but lively library! Contact Shannon for tickets!

Miss Playing With Our Library Legos? Play with Legos Online!

As part of our commitment to help you continue learning and being entertained during the COVID-19 crisis, we are sharing a variety of virtual tours, and fun, and educational experiences.

That’s right, now you can play with Legos virtually! You need a parent with an email address to sign up so an account can be made for anyone who is not an adult.

Fun Activities during Cabin Fever Season

Winter can make it hard to keep everyone entertained and happy, so here are a few active ideas to engage in during the cold weather. We especially love Understood’s mention of both the Scavenger Hunt and Word-building Charades in their Cabin Fever posting, and, if you have Legos and marbles are appropriate for your children’s ages, why not make a Marble Maze? Or, if you have Nerf (or other) foam-shooting guns, maybe do a spinning target or maybe roll up some socks and play these “snowball” games! Keep the kids moving and having fun (and keep your sanity) during cabin fever season!
